Cape Ann Artisan Tour 40th Anniversary

This year represents the 40th year for the Cape Ann Artisan Tour as the oldest “open studios” in the country. Celebrate the occasion at the upcoming CAMTalk: History Series: Cape Ann Artisan’s 40th Anniversary on Saturday, October 21 at 2:00 pm.⁠

The @capeannartisans are part of a vibrant arts community, located along the scenic North Shore of Massachusetts. The Tour is a self-guided exploration of artists’ studios in Gloucester and Rockport. Both areas are also home to three important Massachusetts designated Cultural Districts – downtown Gloucester, downtown Rockport, and Rocky Neck. ⁠

The Museum was proud to host an exhibit of the Artisans for their 30th anniversary in 2013 and to have collaborated on a year of hands-on studio offerings for their 40th anniversary this year. In this talk, hear from select members of the Artisans about their ongoing work sharing and celebrating fine art and craft on Cape Ann. Viewers can see the Cape Ann Artisans' 2023 40th Anniversary at the Cultural Center at Rocky Neck Art Colony in October 2023.

Main Street Meet-Up

Join the Chamber's Businesswomen's Committee for our first Main Street Meet-Up on September 21 - a Women-Owned Business Tour on Main Street in Downtown Gloucester. Pop Gallery will be offering a raffle prize valued at least $20 so the more businesses you visit, the more raffles you can enter to win! Schooner Festival Seasonal SALE!

This year, the festival starts Thursday, August 31st, 2023 and concludes with the schooner race on Sunday, September 3rd, 2023. This capstone to the summer is steeped in history and jam-packed with events and opportunities to get up-close and personal with these beautiful ships. The GSF has become a Labor Day weekend tradition for thousands of people every year and we hope you will join in the festivities! Summer clearance going on all weekend.
